It's been a while since we posted anything from the Mission and there is a bunch of new stuff in those alleys. Some of the east coast members of the EX Vandals recently came through and left their styles on the walls; some of our locals added new pieces as well. Nothing better than a fresh brewed Philz coffee and checking out the new art in the mission alleys on a lazy sunday. If you're liking these flicks get out there and walk it yourself. Eville gets a wall !

The bay area gets madd love from graff writers and street artists. New walls are going up weekly in San Francisco and Oakland. Despite being smack dab in the middle of Oakland, Emeryville is heavily overlooked. It's been a great place to write for years, what with all those empty warehouses, big blank walls and quiet streets, but it has definitely lacked proper productions. Looks like that is changing. Here's the first full wall production in Emeryville that we know of. Let's hope for more big walls in Emeryville's future.

Lower Haight

Often overlooked for its brother up the hill, the lower Haight is just as exciting as the upper Haight and without all the gutter punks and headshops. You can actually walk the streets down below divisadero without being asked for change or weed every 3 steps. No doubt that Upper Playground and Fifty24SF have played a hand in this location taking off artistically. Now that ZeroFriends has taken up residence there, get ready for an influx of talent. Those three names should convince you that the lower Haight is worth your time for a leisurely stroll / artwalk.
