This past weekend, Oakland was the scene of the crime. Patti Astor was the motive. Members of the
EX VANDALS crew (one of the first graffiti crews in existence) came from all over the country for a West Coast meet up / wall jam to honor
Patti A. and her legendary FUN Gallery. Founding members of the crew, Wicked Gary, Flint and Kool Kito all made the trip from Brooklyn. They also brought some of their friends, Stab 158 from Baltimore, Cone and Bids from da Bronx to join in with the West Coast Ex Vandals to create one helluva all star lineup. Stan 153, Nate 1, Mace, Joker, KayTwo, Refa, Resek, Kufue, Agana, Creature, Chris Granillo, Fury, Krash, Pengo and Sno all repped the West to fill out the walls.
Friday came along and the parking lot was cleared, A scissor lift was on the scene, Cuba was on the decks, Mother Nature brought some California sunshine and 3 days of painting ensued...
